"You guys"! I just learned this is what I will have to say now instead of "Y'all". I am slightly disappointed, but my serving Christian heart will get over it.
It is time to wrap it up. Next week is the week. The Pieratts will be rolling to Minneapolis. Initially, we wanted to ship up all our stuff, but we felt the calling to get rid of almost everything and trust God for provision (especially after seeing the prices for shipping).
So now we have clothes, toys and a pack n play to fit in our Nissan Rogue. Still challenging and have not 100% figured it out but we are getting there.
Why are we doing it?
Because we are excited to go and help. Does all the stuff we have, make us happy? Maybe a little bit. But it could hold us back as well. No worries, nothing got thrown away. We were able to bless other people and sell a few things. We just trust God that he will take care of us.
We read in the bible that we do not need to worry about tomorrow because God cares for us (Matthew 6:25-34). So we will trust him.
Last Sunday, Ray had the opportunity to speak in his home church in Dunedin, Florida about Missions. You can listen to it here: Modern Worship @ First Dunedin - YouTube
We have begun learning more about Minneapolis from friends who have lived there. We will share about the city once we have experienced it for ourselves. We are excited to get to know Minneapolis, the YWAM staff, and the people living there.
We also want to say "thank you" to the people who have already committed to supporting us. It makes us feel so loved. Thank you for your trust. We will keep you updated about everything.
We still need to raise more support but we know it will be fine.
