Oh, it is April already???

As you could read in our last post, we have been traveling a lot during the first quarter of 2023. I was with our son Nolan in Germany to spend some time with my family and eat German snacks while Ray helped out at a conference in Mexico. It was a conference for people who want to teach in the DBS. Ray signed up as a student not sure what to expect and ended up becoming a staff member since he has been part of the founding of DBS and has taught for many years. He now has a couple of mentees in South America that he is coaching in becoming Bible teachers.

After being back in Minneapolis for 2.5 weeks we headed to Florida to see Family, friends, and of course our supporters (who are usually in the friend category anyways ;) ).

Traveling that much with a toddler is definitely not easy and we are happy to be home now for a while. But we had a good time in Florida and are happy to see everyone we were able to.

Now, back in Minneapolis, there are some changes in progress. Firstly, unfortunately, not enough students applied for Ray's bible school. Therefore, the school had to be postponed for a later time maybe this year or even next year.

Toward the end of our visit in Florida, we learned some news that will cause big changes for YWAM Minneapolis. The base leader has decided that his time leading the base is coming to an end. This has started a process of finding and transitioning to a new leader, leadership team, and probably a new board. The team here is committed to the ministry in Minneapolis but it is going to take some time to process and pray through these changes. There are several meetings every week to pray and process together. Everyone is taking time alone to pray as well. Other than that we are joining outreaches as they come. Last week Ray helped pack food for children in need again, served warm meals for homeless individuals and we spent some time getting to know the Afghan family we adopted.

Please keep us and YWAM Minneapolis in your prayers as it is a challenging time and wise decisions need to be made.
